The tradition of the ancient Egyptians which are similar to our as Filipinos are that they both hold deep spiritual significance in order to be able to build their lives and properties.

The Egyptians would carry their religion practices by erecting temples, sacred monuments, and statues of their gods. Likewise, the Filipinos have also erected singular structures like churches and other religious symbols in order to connect with God.

 

The tradition of the ancient Egyptians which are different from ours as Filipinos is that they used pyramids for tombs while we use coffins instead. Nevertheless, it is still a great similarity because we both practice embalming our dead family members with an incense before burying them inside these structures built for this objective.

 

The tradition of the ancient Egyptians which are similar to ours as Filipinos is that they venerated the sun god Ra. Everyday, the sun god Ra rides over millions of miles on the sky and then sets in a horizon while they stand at their temples, keeping their heads lowered.

 

Likewise, we also respect the sun god as well by offering it a special day every year in order to thank it for providing us natural light, warmth and energy.

 

The tradition of the ancient Egyptians which are different from ours as Filipinos is that only men can serve in roles related to religion such as pharaohs, priests, and so forth.

 

However, this is also in accordance with our tradition because women in the Philippines are not allowed to serve as Pope of religions or religious practices and activities.

 

The tradition of the ancient Egyptians which are similar to ours as Filipinos is that they used lots of jewelry on their fingers, arms and ears. They even wear eyeliners, eye shadow, and lipsticks like what we normally do today.

 

In the same way that we wear jewels for parties and for special occasions such as funerals, graduations, weddings and so forth.

 

The tradition of the ancient Egyptians which are different from ours as Filipinos is that it was commonly a Filipino custom to bury their dead family members up until three year periods ago.

 

On the contrary, they would keep on embalming their dead family members for thousands of years inside pyramids built with limestone.

 

The tradition of the ancient Egyptians which are similar to ours as Filipinos is that they would offer sacrifices to their gods in order to gain favors and it is also what we do everyday when we offer food and drinks in front of sacred images such as in our churches and temples.

 

The tradition of the ancient Egyptians which are different from ours as Filipinos is that they hold each feast day for their gods, including for the sun god Ra, three times a year.

 

On the contrary, we only have one special occasion for all religious events annually such as Christmas, Easter Sunday, Ash Wednesday etc.
